Eric Whitacre is one of the most popular and performed composers of our generation. His choral CD, Cloudburst, became an international bestseller, topping the classical charts and earning a Grammy nomination.  Conducting his own professional choir for his first recording after signing with Decca, the album Light & Gold went to number one on the classical charts on both sides of the Atlantic immediately following its release.  His Virtual Choir projects on YouTube have been shared by a vast audience worldwide, and his award-winning musical, Paradise Lost, featuring a huge chorus, 7 soloists, electronica, Taiko drummers and DJ, will get a new life this year with a performance in Los Angeles (Disney Hall, June 25).  Plans are in the works for a stage show and soundtrack recording. Learn from one of our most innovative and popular composers about writing some of the most performed pieces in our choral and band repertoire through to a major work for the London Symphony, working with Hans Zimmer for Disney and speaking at TED.com.
