The resumés of producer/musician/songwriters Marcus Miller, Don Was and Larry Klein collectively and individually say it all.  Their common thread is the bass, and their individual musical journeys have traversed the musical world. A mere sample includes Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, the Rolling Stones, Shawn Colvin, Luther Vandross, Herbie Hancock, Madeleine Peyroux, Elton John, Chaka Khan - just for starters.  These three astounding musicians will discuss how they parlayed their beginnings as bassists into crafting important works by some of the most memorable artists of the last four decades. Their inspiring stories show what can happen when great talent and great love for all styles of music can create careers without boundaries.
