Composer, arranger, producer and musician Van Dyke Parks has recorded eight of his own albums and has worked on countless albums for artists spanning generations, such as The Beach Boys, the Grateful Dead, Randy Newman, U2 and others. Singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright has recorded six albums of baroque pop and a full-length opera in his growing, successful and genre-pushing career. Representing different generations, Parks and Wainwright will discuss how they created some of the most provocative music of the modern era.
